Founded in 1986, the Etnies brand was bought in the early 90's by professional skateboarder Pierre Andre Senizergues. Using his skateboarding experience Senizergues developed Etnies footware into the perfect skater's shoe.
However, Etnies isn't just a popular brand because of the owner's legendary status as a skateboarder. He recognized the need for technological advancement in skater shoes, and built a state of the art research organization. This initiative meant that Etnies were always ahead of the competition for comfort, durability, and most obviously, style.
